Born in the 80s in Shanghai, Anqi has always been struggling to pull

out the substance of his own life and chasing for independence by doing little break-through the tradition.

 

In the 90s, Anqi became the student of a young but talented artist, Gang CAO, who brought him into the art world. He not only taught him various painting skills but also the way to feel and observe life.

In 2000, Anqi majored in Souvenir Design from the Shanghai Art

& Crafts College. During the period, he had already achieved with many honors and his art pieces had been collected by the school.

 

From 2004-2008, Anqi was recruited by Shanghai Normal University of Fine Arts, majored in visual communication design. During that last period, He participated in many art events, In 2005, he was invited to participate in the joint exhibition curated by Xuhui Government for the Longhua Art Fair "Opening". In 2007, He had been nominated to join the workshop project curated by World renown graphic master "Gert Dumbar".

 

At  Christmas 2009, one eye of Anqi was injured, thus changing his perception of reality and his "vision" of the world.  He starts his own journey to see this substance of life - One eye to see the external world, one eye to see the inner world.
